Ask one question out loud right now: 'What is mine to carry today — and what belongs to someone else?' Name one thing you are carrying that is not yours. Set it down, literally — say 'that is not mine.'

Why it works

Naming a burden as 'not mine' shifts the brain from automatic over-responsibility to conscious choice. You cannot regulate what you will not name.
